Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide rural Kenyans with a source of income generation, a marketable skill, and basic business principles, while producing an inexpensive, reliable bar of soap for hand-washing, in order to promote good hygiene practices in the rural communities of Nyanza Province, Kenya.

Why Furaha?

[Fur-Ah-Ha]: Furaha is the Swahili word for JOY. This is a word that embodies the spirit of Kenya. Beyond the literal translation though, Furaha has become a way of life. In Kenya, it is as if each day is a celebration, each verbal exchange a beautiful song, and each journey a dance. Visitors to Kenya are blessed to experience Furaha, and by experiencing it, to learn that some of life's most precious riches are oblivious to the poverty line, and don't have a pricetag. It is this mentality, that true Furaha doesn't require material wealth, that we hope to share with the world.
